Richmond – The Virginia Cannabis Control Authority (CCA) is pleased to announce the release of a comprehensive safe driving partner toolkit, aimed at promoting responsible and safe driving across the Commonwealth. The toolkit empowers individuals and organizations to help prevent cannabis-impaired driving and enhance public safety on Virginia’s roads.

The CCA invites stakeholders to download and share the partnership materials, which include posters, flyers, banner ads, and social media messages and graphics. These resources can be used to spread awareness about the dangers and consequences of cannabis-impaired driving and the need to plan for a sober ride.

“We value our partners and stakeholders in Virginia. Working together, we can make progress in reducing the incidence of driving under the influence of cannabis,” said Jeremy Preiss, CCA Acting Head and Chief Officer of Regulatory, Policy, and External Affairs. “The safe driving partner toolkit equips individuals and organizations with resources to champion the cause of responsible driving.”

The CCA offers toolkits tailored to meet the needs of different stakeholders, including:

  1. Government prevention and safe driving organizations
  2. Cannabis businesses and advocacy organizations
  3. Colleges and universities
  4. Spanish language

The targeted toolkits ensure diverse stakeholders can promote safe driving practices within their communities.

"We have designed the toolkits with different segments of our community in mind so the resources can be more effectively disseminated. By making these resources available in both English and Spanish, we aim to reach a wider audience and create a more inclusive approach to safe driving advocacy," added Preiss.
