Richmond, Va. -The Virginia Cannabis Control Authority board of directors has selected Jamie Patten to the newly created role of chief administrative officer. She will head up the Authority’s administrative functions, including finance, budget, human resources, procurement, and information technology.

Patten is an accomplished public servant whose 21-year career includes numerous leadership roles that span across different state agencies within the Commonwealth of Virginia. “The CCA is thrilled to welcome Jamie as its administrative chief.  Her strong skills, leadership capabilities, and collegiality will be enormously helpful as the Authority pursues its ambitious work plan, stated Jeremy Preiss, the CCA’s Acting Head and Chief Officer for Regulatory, Policy, and External Affairs.

Patten received her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Longwood University. She is a graduate of the Virginia Executive Institute and the Virginia Public Safety Leadership Institute.
